Nur noch wenige Stunden und das BlackBerry Passport Event in Toronto, London und Dubai startet. Gegen 15 Uhr deutscher Zeit wird die Liveübertragung des Events unter dem unten genannten Link beginnen. Robert ist für euch in London vor Ort und wir werden ebenfalls ab kurz vor 15 Uhr mit unserem Liveblog beginnen. Da ihr diesen Termin sicher schon eine Weile blockiert habt schaut doch vorbei, ein Chat wird auf unserer Seite ebenfalls aktiv sein. Die wichtigsten Highlights werden wir parallel über Twitter, Facebook und BBM Channels verteilen. Der Link zu unserem Liveblog wird morgen ab ca. 14:30 Uhr aktiviert. Die BlackBerry-Gemeinde weiß schon recht viel über das BlackBerry Passport, im Rahmen eines gesonderten Events vorgestellt wurd es allerdings noch nicht. Am 24. September hat BlackBerry nun zu einer Veranstaltungsreihe geladen, die zeitgleich in drei verschiedenen Regionen und Städten stattfindet: Toronto, London und Dubai. Wir sind für euch an diesem wichtigen Tag für BlackBerry live in London dabei. Schon an der aktuellen Werbung in Kanada kann man erkennen, dass BlackBerry ziemlich stolz auf das Passport ist und es als neues High-End Gerät wesentlich zum Wiederaufstieg beitragen soll. Auch wir freuen uns nach einer ersten Gewöhnungsphase auf das Gerät. So anders es auch ist, so sehr vereint es viele Eigenschaften die typisch für BlackBerry sind, eben nur interpretiert auf eine neue Art.

BAM! Endlich wissen wir, wann es passieren wird. In einer soeben veröffentlichten Pressemeldung verkündet Thorsten Heins, dass am 30. Januar 2013 das offizielle Launch-Event für die neuen BlackBerry 10 smartphones stattfinden wird. Das Event wird an verschiedenen Orten der Welt zeitgleich stattfinden. An diesem Tag werden übrigens auch die ersten zwei (entgegen einem Gerücht, in dem von sechs Geräten die Rede war) offiziell vorgestellt und die Verfügbarkeit bekannt gegeben.

The BlackBerry® 10 platform has recently achieved FIPS 140-2 certification, which means that government agencies will be able to deploy BlackBerry 10 smartphones and BlackBerry® Enterprise Service 10 as soon as it is available. BlackBerry Jam Americas General Session (Keynote) Live per Webcast verfolgen

Vom 25.09.2012-27.09.2012 findet in San Jose der BlackBerry Jam Americas statt. Dieses Event aus der BlackBerry Jam Reihe ist dabei allerdings von etwas größerem Kaliber als die normalen BlackBerry Jam’s. Thorsten Heins wird persönlich anwesend sein und auf der Keynote sprechen. Wir erwarten/hoffen auf einige neue Einblicke in die nächste Generation der BlackBerry Platform und vielleicht bekommen wir sogar zum ersten Mal eines der neuen Geräte offiziell zu Gesicht.
