Knapp ein Jahr ist es her, dass BlackBerry das P’9982 vorgestellt hat. War das erste BlackBerry 10 Smartphone in Kooperation mit Porsche Design noch ein Fulltouch-Gerät und sehr nah mit dem Z10 verwandt, wurde gestern das mit einer Hardware-Tastatur ausgestattete P’9983 vorgestellt. Technisch ähnelt es dem bewährtem Q10, was auf eine zügige Bedienung und ausreichende Akkulaufzeiten schließen lässt.
Äußerlich zeigt sich das P’9983 im exklusivem Porsche Design Look. So nimmt es die Formgebung der Vorgänger mit einem eher kantigem Design und der in Form eines Trapezes gestalteten unteren Seite auf, interpretiert es aber neu. Der BlackBerry Schriftzug findet sich recht ungewohnt nun im unteren Rahmen Geräts, an der oberen Seite prangt in starkem Kontrast zur übrigen Farbgebung der Porsche Design Schriftzug. Dafür wurde wie für den Rahmen des P’9983 Edelstahl verwendet, die restliche Oberfläche des Geräts ist hochglänzend. Selbst bei den abgeschrägten Tasten der Tastatur gibt es einen besonderen Materialmix, den BlackBerry als glasähnliches Material beschreibt um damit einen 3D-Effekt beim Blick auf die Tasten erzielen zu können. Die Rückseite ist gegenüber dem P’9982 mit einem ähnlichen Material wie dem des Q10 bedeckt, allerdings scheint man hier auf eine deutliche glänzendere Lackierung zu setzen. Ein Novum bei BlackBerry Smartphones ist die Kameralinse aus Saphirglas.
Als Betriebssystem kommt bereits BlackBerry 10.3 zum Einsatz. Da dieses noch nicht verfügbar ist, wird es wohl auch mit einer Verfügbarkeit des Telefons noch ein paar Tage dauern. Mit an Bord ist dann auch wieder die bekannte Porsche Design Uhr-App und ein leicht angepasstes Aussehen bei vereinzelten Schriftzügen etc. Natürlich werdet ihr mit dem P’9983 auch wieder an der den Porsche Design Smartphone-Eignern vorbehaltenen 2AAxxxxx Pin erkannt. Im Präsentationsvideo erkennt man auch die später verfügbaren Backcover, die jeweils handgefertigt aus italienischem Leder in den Farben Gelb, Blaugrün, Dunkelbraun, Granatapfel, Paloma-Grau, Salsa, Blau und Orange verfügbar sein werden um dem P’9983 einen noch individuelleren Look zu verleihen.
Auch wenn man nun 64 GB internen Speicher besitzt, technisch bleibt das Gerät ein Q10. Das soll kein größerer Nachteil sein, wirklich auftrumpfen kann es mit dem technischen Daten jedoch nicht. Das soll auch wie bereits von den Vorgängern bekannt nicht das Ziel dieses Smartphones sein. Es soll Luxuriösität ausstrahlen, ohne dabei abgehoben zu wirken und dies mit der konkurrenzlosen Produktivität von BlackBerry 10 verbinden. Für einen Preis von mindestens 1500€ kann damit nicht nur zeigen das man nicht Mainstream ist und einen BlackBerry verwendet, sondern das man gewisse Etwas besonders schätzt.
