Auf dem heutigen BlackBerry Enterprise Event in San Francisco hat BlackBerry den BES 12 in der finalen Version vorgestellt. Die neue Enterprise Mobility Management Lösung ist mit allen populären Smartphone-Plattformen kompatibel und kann daher neben BlackBerry Smartphones iOS, Android und nun auch Windows Phone (ab Version 8) Smartphones einbinden.

Neu für den BES12 ist Möglichkeit das Produkt komplett aus der Cloud zu erhalten und damit unabhängig von eigener Infrastruktur zu sein. Interessant ist auch, dass der BES12 bereits für das Internet der Dinge vorbereitet ist und es so zum Beispiel ermöglicht, medizinisches Equipment einzubinden.

Doch damit nicht genug. BlackBerry hat eine ganze Reihe von Partnerschaften und zusätzlichen Lösungen bekannt gegeben.

Bessere Sicherheit auf Android mit BES12 und Samsung Knox

Im nächsten Jahr haben Samsung Galaxy Besitzer mit Samsung Knox und dem BES die Möglichkeit, ihre Geräte sicher in die Unternehmensstruktur einzubinden. Dabei geht man über das hinaus, was zu einer einfachen Einbindung von Android-Smartphones gehört. So hat man den privaten Bereich vollständig vom geschäftlichen entkoppelt und Sicherheitsmechanismen eingeführt, die bis auf den Kernel gehen aber auch Apps im Fokus haben.

Mit Worklife ermöglicht BlackBerry Mitarbeitern von Unternehmen, die private Telefonnummer zu behalten und zusätzlich dem Gerät eine geschäftliche Nummer zuzuweisen, mit einer getrennten Abrechnung, die sowohl für den Mitarbeiter als auch das Unternehmen keinen zusätzlichen Aufwand erzeugt.
