Als ich auf dieses Projekt auf Kickstarter gestoßen bin, war ich ziemlich schnell von der Idee des Cosmonauts überzeugt. Es handelt sich beim Cosmonaut um einen Stift der auf Touchscreens funktioniert. Die Idee dahinter ist die, dass sich das Schreiben auf einem Tablet nicht anfühlt wie z.B. auf einem Blatt Papier. Vielmehr ist das Schreiben auf einem Tablet wie auf einem Whiteboard. Die meisten anderen Stifte die es für Touchscreens gibt, sehen eher aus wie ein gewöhnlicher Stift. Da es sich aber eben anders anfühlt auf einem Blatt Papier zu schreiben als auf einem Touchscreen haben sich die Entwickler hinter dem Cosmonaut das Ziel gesetzt einen gut verarbeiteten Stift zu bauen der einem Whiteboardmarker in der Haptik nahe kommt. Genau das haben sie mit dem Cosmonaut tatsächlich geschafft. Der Stift liegt einfach großartig in der Hand und ich wünschte es würde einen ähnlich gut verarbeiteten Whiteboardmarker geben. [Bildquelle: CrackBerry.com] Das für Februar angekündigte BlackBerry PlayBook Update wird den Teilnehmer der CES 2012 bereits in der laufenden Woche vorgestellt. Besucher des RIM Standes auf der Messe können mit OS2 bestückte PlayBooks benutzen und sich ein Bild von den neuen Funktionen machen. Neben der lang erwarteten Unterstützung für nativ E-Mail mit einer eigenständigen App ohne BlackBerry Bridge kündigt RIM allerdings noch ein paar weitere coole Features an. Es soll mit dem neuen OS z.B. möglich sein das BlackBerry als eine Art Fernsteuerung für das PlayBook zu benutzen. Ich sehe mich schon entspannt auf der Couch sitzen mit dem PlayBook via HDMI am Fernseher, um dann via BlackBerry-Tastatur und Trackpad den Browser des PlayBooks zu bedienen. Außerdem wird es möglich sein Inhalte vom BlackBerry direkt auf dem PlayBook anzuzeigen. Das PlayBook wird damit hoffentlich endlich sein volles Potential ausschöpfen können. Availability
The BlackBerry® PlayBook OS 2.0 software update will be available as a free download for all BlackBerry PlayBook users and is expected to be available in February 2012.
